Kathleen Barret, President and CEO of IIBA, Speaks at Executive Conference Hosted by Quick Solutions, Inc.

COLUMBUS, OH – November 3, 2009 - On October 15, 2009, Quick Solutions, Inc., hosted an executive-level breakfast which featured a presentation given by Kathleen Barret, President and CEO of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Her presentation, titled “Business Analysis: Helping Business Do Business Better”, discussed the nature of changes in the business environment and the factors responsible for making those changes.

Representatives from more than 10 central Ohio organizations were present to take part in discussions focusing on the required skills, tools and techniques Business Analysts need to help their business adapt to dynamic marketplaces, organizational best practices, strategic planning and more.

In March of 2004, Kathleen became the first and current President of the International Institute of Business Analysis, a professional association focused on defining the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) and implementing a certification program for qualified practitioners.

Kathleen has over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology field.  Particular fields of expertise include networking, research, benchmarking, retail and e-business in large and small enterprises.  Kathleen has worked for major corporations such as BMO Financial Group, Manulife Financial, Bell Canada, KPMG and IDC, and spent 10 years with a benchmarking company, Retail Decisions, that was later acquired by Gartner Group.

Kathleen received her degree in International Economics from Georgetown University.
